Carbon offsetting

This year, we are going to focus our efforts on our Scope 3 carbon emissions. In our case, Scope 3 includes looking at reporting the embodied carbon from materials used in our projects and how they are transported. We will also look at the carbon generated from the waste we produce and those which relate to transport and the way we run our own offices, prioritising our most carbon intensive areas and looking at alternative solutions. We cannot remove all of our carbon emissions right now so the best thing we can do for the environment is to invest in carbon offsetting our current emissions as we identify them, a process that is now clearly defined by Oxford University. We will also look at carbon reduction initiatives within our supply chain in a process known as ‘insetting’ which provides more direct benefit. We are committed to working on further insetting strategy and making investment in these a priority.
