Their new workspace design has brought their business strategy to life by enabling teams to collaborate on shared projects in a more creative way. Places for chance encounters feature prominently in the layout that offers a variety of spaces supported by improved technology.

On one side of the client facing space on level 11 a café bar, lounge area and booths sit under the multi-coloured exposed services against a softly lit joinery feature wall. A series of glazed and open flexible meeting spaces fan out to either side of this central core with its new black steel central staircase. One of the key challenges of this project was benchmarking key quality elements such as this staircase, BW constructed a full-size section of this structure for sign off.

Surrounding the staircase are a series of booths and team working areas including a long banquette opposite whiteboards that run the length of the open space. The hotdesking area with its own kitchenette allows for smaller café type meetings and for clients and consultants space to come and work. On the upper floor, the team workspace reflects the strategic move to neighbourhood groupings, where individuals now sit with experts in similar industries working with complementary clients. This co-location is increasing the potential for deeper views and insights.

Montagu Evans also recognised that not everyone wants to work from the hub of a shared space, so they have provided quiet alternatives in a library and wellbeing space. Within this new accessible space with magnificent 360° views over the city, the team have delivered a bold vision of modern work for this forward-looking property consultancy.
