BW’s Chief Marketing Officer, Anthony Brown, has been featured in Workplace Insight with a thought-provoking article titled “Rise of AI gives us a chance to rediscover a world beyond the screen.”
In the piece, Anthony explores how the growing influence of AI may prompt us to rethink our long-standing reliance on screens in the workplace. As AI agents become more capable of handling scheduling, communication and analysis through natural language and ambient cues, the traditional desk-bound screen could become less central – shifting from essential tool to habitual backdrop.
Rather than imagining a sudden overhaul, Anthony outlines a gradual but significant evolution. From small operational shifts to long-term architectural change, he encourages us to reimagine work environments that prioritise conversation, presence and acoustics over constant visual focus.
As he writes, “The assumption that meaningful work must involve looking at a screen is going to change. A quieter form of computing is starting to take shape, and if sustained, it will change not only how we work, but how work feels.”
