Relocating Sony Music Entertainment UK to a new King’s Cross HQ at the heart of London’s creative tech hub
Our key challenge was to bring Sony’s record labels together under one roof – driving collaboration and teamwork throughout, whilst ensuring each sub-brand retains their own identity through tailored palettes, furniture, artwork and branding.
To execute, we worked with MoreySmith, CBRE and Core Five. MoreySmith’s design enabled us to create a vibrant workspace with enhanced flexibility, allowing their teams to choose how and where they work – effortlessly combining Sony Music’s iconic record labels, such as RCA, Columbia Records, and Ministry of Sound.
Importantly, this build wasn’t just about work. MoreySmith made sure to foster creativity and collaboration through the space’s many coffee bars and social hubs. The new office also features an event space, cutting-edge recording and photography studios, a roof terrace, library, and listening rooms. Every detail of Sony’s new home, from materiality and lighting, to planting and styling, has been crafted to suit both artists and employees – resulting in a bright, modern workspace with creativity and collaboration at its core.
