Creating a space that makes the commute worthwhile for Kingfisher
Kingfisher plc’s new home is located in the prestigious Renzo Piano building at One Paddington Square. BW, HLW and Cushman & Wakefield were appointed to create a flexible and adaptable headquarters aimed at aiding staff attraction and retention. The goal was to establish a workplace that truly “earns the commute”.
Kingfisher plc is an international home improvement company with over 1,500 stores and a team of 80,000 colleagues across Europe. Each of their retail ‘banners’ boasts instantly recognisable brands. HLW worked closely with the client team to develop a design solution that aligns with the project vision, caters to the needs of end-users and complements the building’s aesthetic.
The outcome is an open, welcoming and ‘honest’ destination – providing amenities accessible to all of Kingfisher’s diverse population. The workplace allows end-users to choose how and where they work within an efficient activity-based working environment.
