Redefining collaboration, innovation and global connectivity through Skyscanner’s new central London travel hub

Skyscanner’s teams needed a workspace that reflected their global reach whilst making collaboration as easy as possible for a hybrid work culture of 300+ team members in the heart of Soho. We worked together with MCM, Hennessy Godden and Storey to overhaul the 30,000 sq. ft. space across two floors, helping Skyscanner to continue doing what they do best – reaching 100 million monthly travellers in 180+ countries.

We knew that a business as cutting-edge as Skyscanner needed an equally modern workspace – equipped with everything from energising meeting areas to quiet pods, all with seamless video connectivity. MCM prioritised and promoted creativity, well-being and innovation through a library, indoor garden, town hall room, breakout areas, panoramic terraces and a research lab. They also included morale-boosting refreshment points and a games room to ensure a vibrant and bustling workplace.

Sustainability was a top priority, so the team conducted a comprehensive review to reduce the amount of embodied carbon used during the workspace’s lifetime. As a result, the space fully complies with the UK Green Building Council’s Net Zero carbon framework – achieving 25% less embodied carbon than the average fit out.

Our design and execution transformed the business with new branding, high-tech integration and enhanced collaboration spaces. The cutting-edge workspace reflects Skyscanner’s culture and enables seamless global connectivity, revolutionising their service to travellers and solidifying their leading position in the travel industry.
