It had to feel right – And sound even better

The Project

Believe didn’t want an office. They needed a space that could hold a writing session, a quiet listen, a team catch-up – or a full-on launch party for the next big thing in independent music. Not just fitted out – properly built. So we handled it all: full design and build, start to finish.

Believe back independent artists and labels in a digital world that often forgets where the music comes from. They do things their own way – creative, straightforward, honest. When they picked a space, it wasn’t about ticking boxes. They chose this landmark King’s Cross building near Coal Drops Yard because it fits who they are and how they work. This workspace had to feel the same. No more, no less.

The spaces that make Believe work

Raw meets refined – The industrial feel of the open plan with dark ceilings and concrete floors contrasts with the distinct character of each meeting room. Striking that balance was key.

Breakout, not background – Softer than a studio, warmer than a boardroom, with brass wall lamps, acoustic lights and just enough neon to let you know you’re in the right place.

Listening room, no distractions – Timber on the walls, quiet underfoot, lighting that disappears when you don’t need it. Just you and the sound.

Meeting rooms with personality – Small ones feel like writing rooms. Bigger ones have presence, with circular panels and pendants that light the room without flattening it.

Acoustics that do their job – Every surface is there for a reason. It’s quiet where it should be and open where it helps – nothing more, nothing less.

Every detail in tune

We led the full design and build, creative, technical, and everything in between. As the project evolved, so did we. Believe’s AV team, based in Paris, brought deep expertise but needed a local partner who understood how UK builds work. We made sure everyone was aligned, bridging the distance and keeping decisions sharp.

Midway through, we recommended raising the acoustic standard in the listening room to fully meet Believe’s ambitions and avoid future noise issues. We moved quickly, revised the plan, adjusted the build and delivered a space that sounds just right. No fuss, no delays.

What made it sing

One team, end to end – No gaps, no guessing. We were in from day one.

We understood the tone – Of the space. Of the people. Of the work.

We kept it moving – Every change was handled with care and clarity, it made the project stronger, not slower.

Seamless by design – Close collaboration with Believe, their landlord and neighbours meant the fit-out became part of the place, not an add-on.
