Skyscanner: a workplace that fits the people – and the place
The Project
After the success of their London project, Skyscanner once again partnered with BW – this time engaging their Design and Build team to deliver one of two primary business hubs in Scotland.
But this wasn’t about rolling out a formula. The people, pace and setting were different, and the space needed to reflect that. The result is a calm, practical workplace that feels right for the team, and rooted in the city.

A space that fits the people – and the place
No fixed desks – The open layout supports different ways of working, with space to gather, focus, or dip in and out.
Materials that reflect the city – Subtle nods to the fabric of Glasgow give the space texture and depth. Honest materials, no excess.
Breakouts that earn their keep – Built into the rhythm of work – for quiet moments, quick chats or a reset between meetings.
Noise managed from the outset – Acoustics were considered early, with layout and finishes doing the heavy lifting. Every surface earns its place.
Delivery that made room for clarity
BW had already worked with Skyscanner on their London HQ. That meant we could focus on what mattered.
We were brought in before the lease was signed – shaping the scope, managing expectations and setting the project up for success. Everything was handled in-house, so the left hand always knew what the right was doing.
No crossed wires. No handovers. Just one team, getting on with it.
Why it worked
Early, with purpose – We helped shape the project before it had a postcode. That meant fewer assumptions, and fewer mistakes.
Design that belongs here – The space feels like Skyscanner. But it also feels like Glasgow. That mattered.
No handover headaches – One team. Start to finish. Joined-up thinking all the way through.
